I’m really enjoying being a member of NetGalley. Keeper of the Watch by Kristen L. Jackson is my second book to read this year and I’ve given it 3 1/2 stars. It was a good read and a great start to the series. I’m looking forward to book 2. The paperback is available for pre-order now on Amazon and the book releases on the 1st of February.
It’s the new year. 2018 has arrived. Can you believe 2017 went by so quickly? Today is back to normality for me. The kids are back to school, Joe is back to work, and I begin my own client work too after a lovely two-week break. I thought I’d start my blog this week by taking a look at my writing goals for 2018 and looking back over my 2017 goals to see what I managed to accomplish.
I’m a big fan of YA novels and recently signed up for an account with NetGalley. Keeper by Kim Chance was the first book I received and below is my honest review.

I’m delighted to finally be able to announce that my new fantasy romance novella Hear Me Cry will be released on the 25th of January 2018 as part of the Breaking the Myth Anthology. This anthology features 10 amazing authors and I am delighted to be part of it. I can’t give many details at the moment but as soon as promotions start I will be sure to let everyone know. For now, though, I thought I’d share the cover for my story, Hear Me Cry and tell you a little bit about it.
I love the Visual Verse website. Every month they have a picture prompt and writers are asked to submit a 500-word piece based on the picture. Your objective is to give yourself an hour and then submit the piece using their online form. I find this a really useful creative exercise and have had a number of pieces published on their site. The picture prompt for December resulted in a poem called Lost Perfection which is now live on their website.
I’m delighted to have B. L. Blair as a guest author on my blog today to talk about The Lost Macaw a new mystery suspense novella that released on the 14th of December. Below you will find information about this new book as well as an excerpt and links to purchase.
On Saturday morning I woke up to some fabulous news. Save Her Soul, my paranormal romance novel, has been shortlisted for the BooksGoSocial Reader’s Choice Book of 2017. To say I’m thrilled is an understatement. My book was shortlisted out of over 300 great titles and I am truly humbled to be chosen.
