On Wednesday evening I was both shocked and thrilled to discover that my debut novella, Finding Forever, had made the list of 98 Best Books 2017 according to Goodreads Users. I couldn’t believe it and had to go through the list a few times before it actually sunk in. But, there it was, my book sitting at #93 on the list alongside some amazing authors. I’ve included a screenshot below.
Today on my blog I want to talk about Rectify – A Hidden Hearts Novel Book 6 by Mary Crawford. This book is available for pre-order now across all stores and is one of the many books by this romance author. You can find out about all Mary’s books on her website and I will include the link below.
Mary Crawford Romance Author
Mary Crawford has been lucky enough to live her own version of a romance novel. She married to the guy who kissed her at summer camp. He told her on the night they met that he was going to marry her and be the father of their children. Eventually, she stopped giggling when he said it, and they‘ve celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. They have two children. The oldest is in medical school, where he recently found and married the love of his life, and the youngest has is tackling middle school.
Today on my blog I’m delighted to introduce Author Karen Glista. I’m actually reading Karen’s book Embellished at the moment and it’s really good, so I was chuffed when she agreed to take part in my author interview series. Welcome to my new Author Interview series. Today I have Sarah Dunster who has kindly agreed to answer my questions. I am hoping that this will be a new weekly feature here on my blog, so be sure to keep an eye out for your favorite author.
Welcome to week 2 of my new Freebie Fridays where you can get great free ebooks just for reading my blog. This week there are no Instafreebie links included. I don’t want my readers to have to sign up to someone’s newsletter to claim the free ebook. I have also included this week a Kindle Unlimited section. The books listed here are free for Kindle Unlimited members, but regular Amazon account holders will have to pay for them. I hope you enjoy this week’s list and remember to come back and share your feedback in the comments.
Last week I started a new feature on the blog called “Freebie Friday”. This is where I will be posting a selection of free books for my readers. These books will either be free or free to read on Kindle Unlimited. I’m hoping it will be a great success. I also want to point out that the free books will not be Instafreebie links where you have to sign up to a newsletter to download the book. These are books that you just click on and read.
I’m delighted to bring you a new interview and today I have the pleasure of introducing Enda Sheppard. Enda is a copywriter and editor and I’ll let him explain more about this in the questions that follow. I am always looking for new people to interview on my blog; authors, editors, freelance writers, etc., so if you’d like to feature, drop me and email and I’ll see what I can do.
This post is dedicated to my year in writing 2016. I have to say, this was a great year for me, especially my personal writing. In fact, I’m a little bit blown away by the amount of writing I have completed. I’ve always dreamed of being a writer but never got around to giving this dream priority.
I have taken the day off work today to celebrate. My daughter, Emma, aged 12 attended an awards ceremony this morning and I have to admit, I am beaming with pride. Emma and her entire class took part in the Navan Education Centre Write A Poem 2016 competition along with other schools from Co. Meath and Co. Louth. She won the female entry for her school and we were invited to attend the award’s ceremony this morning where she was presented with a certificate and a copy of the published anthology that features her poem and the picture she drew to accompany it.
It is the end of the second week in January and for many of us, things are back to normal. We have settled into our work routine and are probably looking forward to the next holiday or break. January is always a month that starts with great intentions, but these tend to slip after the second or third week. This is why looking at how to increase productivity can be so helpful, especially at the start of a new year when we have so many new goals to focus on.
