Yesterday, I spoke about the journey to smoke freedom that I had been on this past year. I also mentioned the weight gain I had experienced too. Wendy is a Life Coach, EFT Master, and Law of Attraction Practitioner, that I have had the pleasure of working with and creating massive changes in my life over the years. I love Wendy’s laid back approach to weight loss and how she really puts everything into perspective. This book which is a steal at just £1.99 helps you to make healthy choices without even realising you are doing it. It is a 30 day challenge that you can follow day by day and see results. There is even a private Facebook Group that you can join too where you can relate your successes, get even more tips and of course get feedback and advice from Wendy herself.
The Facebook Group is a great bonus and I have met some really great people here and got plenty of tips and advice. If you’re having a low day or just feeling frustrated you can vent here. If you want to share your progress, get some encouragement, or just chat, you can do it here. There was some fabulous information posted about water which coincided with the day in the challenge that focuses on water. Some really great articles from around the web were shared and we all revealed our tips on how to get more water into our diets. I even discovered why my teeth had become extra sensitive too. It was actually down to the fresh slice of lemon that I was adding to my water. The acid in the lemon can actually cause sensitive teeth or, if you already have them, make them worse.
Day By Day Positive Weight Reduction Tips and Advice
Day 1 of the challenge is to set your weight loss goal and unlike other programs, you have a number of choices. Among these is the weighing scales method and the belt method. I really like the fact that I could choose what would work for me. I picked the scales because I don’t use a belt but decided a couple of days in that I would change this and use the clothes method as I have a favourite pair of jeans that I want to get back into. So with day 1 you set your goals and pick your method. After this you have a day where you will write your body a letter, answer questions on why you want to lose weight, assess your eating habits and more. Each day is packed with great information, tips and examples from Wendy herself. She even shares videos on her YouTube channel and is always at hand in the private group to help out. Everything in the book can be done with ease and there is no starving yourself, no denying yourself your favourite foods either. You learn to listen to your body and this makes a huge difference. You also discover some really great tips for adding more exercise to your day, increasing your water intake and more.
Half-way through the challenge you are introduced to EFT (emotional freedom technique). This technique helps you to remove any blocks or negative beliefs that you may have about your body and weight. I found this really helpful and I am a big fan of EFT anyway so it was fun to use it for weight loss too.
I completed the full challenge and plan on doing another 30 days too just to reinforce some of the new habits. What I can definitely say is that I am more active, I am drinking more water, and I am listening to my body and what it wants. I am also remembering to be positive in what I say about myself and compliment or look for something positive about my body every time I look in the mirror. I have also lost 5lb in the month which is a very healthy weight loss and I am thrilled with it.
