With Ireland covered in a blanket of snow and many of the roads impassable, I’ll be spending my weekend reading. I’ve a couple of titles that I’m nearly finished and then I’ll be moving on to something new. At the moment, I’m in a fantasy mood so I’ve selected a couple of books that sound interesting. I’ve included them below for every who enjoys fantasy with a little bit of romance thrown in too.
I finished reading The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert last night and I loved it. Below you will find the book details followed by my review. This book is one of the best books I’ve read so far this year and if you like dark fairy tales and fantasy, this is a must-read.

I love Visual Verse and the picture prompts they post at the start of every month. I discovered this site last year and started doing the monthly prompts. I missed out on a couple of months where I was busy or the picture didn’t inspire me, but this year I am hoping to do the prompt every month. I’m delighted to say my piece for January was accepted and is now live on their website.
