As an Irish author, I’m always on the lookout for new and upcoming fellow Irish authors I can help and support. Today, I want to tell you all about new Irish steamy romance from Penny Best. Penny is a pen-name for a bestselling Irish author and she’s set to take the romance world by storm with her steamy novella’s set in 1930’s Ireland. She has three stories in her Wild Irish Lust series and they are all available now. Below I have the blues and covers for all three of the books and I hope you’ll check them out especially if you like to read steamy romance.
Using Pictures: Character Profiles Part 2
Last week, in part 1 of this character profiles series, I mentioned that I was going to start working on character profiles for my next story. To help get me started, I paid a visit to Pixabay (not the best move as I tend to end up browsing this site for hours on end, salivating over all the fabulous images) and began my search. I typed female into the search bar because I knew I wanted my protagonist to be female. This yielded thousands of results but nothing in the first couple of pages jumped out at me. I decided to get a little more accurate so I opted to use genre instead. Most of my stories tend to have paranormal or fantasy elements so I put fantasy into the search.
Character Profiles – My New Writing Experiment
I’m looking at character profiles today and starting a new writing experiment to help me determine if this is something I should be doing. The idea came about after reading some interesting character profile questions that writers should know and I kinda liked the idea of doing something like this. I’m also trying to stay focused while I decide what story to write next.

Keep Fit Tips for Writers
Today I want to offer some keep fit tips for writers. I love writing, but there is a downfall and that is that fact that most of the time I’m sitting down. Sitting down, of course, means not moving about, burning off calories, or keeping my body flexible. It’s the bane of many writers and when you add my major sweet tooth into the equation, the weight has been slowing creeping up since over the past couple of years.

Holidays, Realisations, and What’s Coming Next
I’m back after the most amazing holiday to Cyprus to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary and recreate some of the memories. It was a little different not having small children with us this time around but I have to say, holidaying with teens is a lot more fun and relaxing. I really didn’t want to come home to Ireland and the rain.
