October Means Scary Stories – Nightmare Realities

It’s officially scary stories season and all those who have been following my writing journey on Facebook or Twitter will know that I completed the manuscript for NightMare Realities 2 towards the end of August. Unfortunately, it won’t be ready for release in time for Halloween this year, so you’ll have to wait until 2019 for more spooky fun. I can give you a sneak peek at the cover and possible blurb though.

Save Her Soul 1 Year Anniversary Sale

Where did that year go? I still can’t believe it’s been almost twelve months since I published Save Her Soul. It was my first full length novel and it was well received by readers. It even went on to take the Silver Award in the Virtual Fantasy Con 2017 for Best Paranormal.

On Taking Time Out

August is birthday month in our house and the time of year when my husband takes holidays from work. I usually take time off too and this year was no exception. In fact, I was really looking forward to switching off from everything and taking a complete break.

On The Dublin Writers Conference 2018 #DWConf18 #BooksGS

Over the weekend, I attended the Dublin Writers Conference 2018. This three day event was filled with talks from amazing writers and getting to hear their stories was inspiring, motivating, and one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had so far on my writing journey. From self-published authors to traditionally published authors, I got to hear about their journeys firsthand.

Fantasy Reads for the Weekend

With Ireland covered in a blanket of snow and many of the roads impassable, I’ll be spending my weekend reading. I’ve a couple of titles that I’m nearly finished and then I’ll be moving on to something new. At the moment, I’m in a fantasy mood so I’ve selected a couple of books that sound interesting. I’ve included them below for every who enjoys fantasy with a little bit of romance thrown in too.

Marketing for Writers in 2018

As I settle back to work for the New Year, I’m also looking at marketing for writers. Yep, it’s my dreaded subject, but something that every author has to look at. I’m even groaning at the thought of writing this blog post. I’m a writer, not a marketing expert and contrary to what all the sites tell you, it’s bloody hard. Hours upon hours of learning to use the different social networking sites, coming up with a plan that may or may not work, touting for reviews, trying to get your Facebook posts noticed, and much, much more.
