The Irish Independent Authors’ Collective is a new group that has been set up to help Irish Indie authors. The aim of the group is to help authors promote their books and take a part in the Irish writing industry.
There are some amazing opportunities available for Irish writers, albeit it in the traditional publishing world, and the aim of the Irish Independent Authors’ Collective (IIAC) is to bridge the gap between the two. There are dozens of events and conferences each year and the aim of this new group is to hopefully find ways to link in with a number of these and help promote those who choose to self-publish as well.
Irish Independent Authors’ Collective Facebook Group
A private Facebook group for the Irish Independent Authors’ Collective has been set up. The aim of the Facebook group is to support Independent Irish Authors. Membership is open to Irish residents who have self-published a book in paperback or hardback, and to Irish independent authors living abroad who are willing to travel to Ireland for promotions and events. The link to the group is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/432869493819850/
IIAC Get To Know the Writers Weekly Guest Post
As one of the founding members, I will be hosting an author interview with one of our members every week here on my blog. The aim of this is to increase visibility and help promote Independent writers. Readers will get to learn more about some truly wonderful writers and hopefully find a new book or two to add to their collection. There are hundreds of independent authors in Ireland and it is our hope that this new group will help garner them some attention and promote visibility. By working together as a collective, we are hoping to achieve great results.
Be sure to check back every Wednesday for my guest post, and look out for the special hashtags on Twitter and Facebook. #IIAC, #IrishIndependentAuthorsCollective, and #IrishIndieAuthors.
Until next time,
Keep reading and writing,
Amanda
