I received the email I’ve been waiting for with the release date for Nightmare Realities 2. My publisher, Handersen Publishing has been in touch and for all those who have been asking when this next collection of spooky short stories for children aged 8+ is going to be available, the wait is over.
Nightmare Realities 2 will release in ebook, paperback, and hardback on the 3rd of September 2019.
I can’t wait for you all to read it. There are 7 new stories included that are sure to send shivers down your spine. As with Nightmare Realities 1, all the illustrations were created by my wonderfully talented daughter, Emma, and I’m probably biased, but I think they are great.
Here’s a little taster of what Nightmare Realities 2 includes:
- The Nightmare Giving Demon – A new short introduction story to get the scares started and see if you’re brave enough to turn the pages.
- The Curse of Johnny Murphy – An Old Irish tale about death and Johnny Murphy the man that outwitted him. But did he really or was his wish a curse?
- The Substitute Teacher – Alice’s substitute teacher is not what he seems nor are her family in this tale of school terrors.
- Masked Mayhem: Halloween, a masked party, and zombies. It’s not what Jennifer has in mind this year but her grandmother’s ballgown and lace mask take the meaning of Halloween to a whole new level.
- The Spooks on Drewbury Lane? – A new family has moved in on Drewbury Lane but what secret is Eddie Spook and his family hiding? Can Greg find out before it’s too late?
- The Spinning Wheel – Telling ghost stories takes on a whole new meaning in this chilling sleeping beauty retelling.
- Virtual Horror – Virtual Reality takes a nasty turn in this hair raising tale. Can Harry escape before it’s too late?
