I was reading an excellent post this morning about the self-esteem triangle. It made so much sense that I decided to blog about it today. It is written by Will Aguila, M.D., “Dr. A” who is also a motivational speaker, author, and host of “The Dr. A Show”. The article itself can be found at http://www.jenningswire.com/health/wellness/the-self-esteem-triangle/ and is well worth a read.
A lovely quote from the article is:
If you lack self-esteem you cannot build self-confidence and if you lack self-confidence, you will have a difficult time achieving success.
This is at the very start of the article and it is what essentially drew me in so I continued reading. It makes so much sense. If you don’t believe in yourself and you aren’t confident in what you do, you will find it hard to achieve success. You will find it hard to take those steps that you need to take. You will find it hard to move outside your comfort zone and go after you dreams. You won’t reach out to the publishers. You won’t move past the first rejection letter you receive. You won’t make it to the top of the New York Times Best-Sellers List. It just isn’t possible.
In Order To Be A Success You Must Believe In You
In order to be a success you have to believe in you. In order to believe in you, you have to have self-confidence. In order to have that self-confidence you must have self-esteem. It all makes so much sense and building your self-esteem is the first thing you have to focus on.
How do you do that?
Well if you read the article, Dr. A talks about setting small goals and taking small steps towards victory. Every small goal you achieve builds your self-esteem. This in turn is going to build your self-confidence, and the more confident you are the more opportunities you will look for.
My life coach, Wendy Tomlinson, has been saying this for years. She has recommended EFT and hypnosis to help remove blocks and beliefs that no longer serve me. They have worked wonders. I also love subliminal messages and binaural beats. I love Kelly Howell and the work she has done over the years. I have all her CDs. I love how they help me to focus and relax. I was having a little trouble sleeping the last few days and finding it hard to relax so I put her deep sleep track on my iPod last night. I listened to 12 minutes out of the 42 before I knew I was ready to fall asleep. I slept all night and I feel great today. My mind is clear and I don’t feel tired or stressed.
There are hypnosis and subliminal tracks that you can get for almost anything. YouTube is amazing and you can find so many great videos to help you out. You will find EFT, meditation, subliminal messages and so much more. I am listening to a Brainwave subliminals playlist while I am working today. The music is keeping me motivated and stimulated and I know the subliminal messages are being heard by my subconscious mind. Below you will find a video of Subliminal Messages that will help to build up your confidence and self-esteem. Have a look and see what you think. It’s an hour long so if you like what you hear, maybe you can schedule some time to listen to it. Also be sure to check out Kelly Howell and Wendy Tomlinson on YouTube for more great videos and help when it comes to achieving the life of your dreams.
Remember, you have to build yourself up first because you are the most important person in the world. Once you see you as being the most important, and you have confidence in yourself, you will find that success soon follows.
Until next time,
