2 Free Serials For December

It’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog but I’m excited to say that I have something special planned for the month of December. Christmas might be a little different for everyone this year and in the tradition of giving something back, I’ve been thinking about what I can do and I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it.

Free December Serial Reads

I have two stories I’d like to share with my readers, and I thought it might be nice to serialise them and put them on my blog throughout the month. Both stories are 15,000 words each, so my plan is to cut them both into 12 parts and publish one part each day from the first of December right the way through to Christmas Eve. This means every morning there will be a new piece of the story to read with your cup of tea or coffee. It’s my way of saying thank you for sticking with me. It’s been a strange year for us all and my hope is to bring you a little escape every morning.

The 2 stories I’ll be releasing are Stolen Identity and Grisham House and I’ll share the blurbs for each below. Stolen Identity will be serialised from the 1st to the 12th of December and Grisham House will follow from the 13th to the 24th of December. If you subscribe to my blog via email, you’ll get them in your inbox every morning, but if not, I’ll be sharing the links on my social media pages.

Stolen Identity Blurb

Stolen IdentityTwo girls
Two different lives
Fated to help each other
But will they both survive?

Seventeen-year-old Emily Brown and Clara Brunsworth are from different worlds. One rich. One poor. While Emily is scouring the streets looking for a way to help feed her family, their two worlds collide.

As their friendship blossoms, Emily agrees to swap places with Clara for one evening. Unfortunately, fate has other plans and Emily ends up imprisoned in Barrow Haven Asylum where secrets and a dark family history is revealed.

Can Emily uncover the truth before it’s too late? Can she become the girl she loathes, or will Barrow Haven and its tortures trap her forever?

Find out in this prince and the pauper style retelling from award-winning author Amanda J Evans.

Grisham House Blurb

Grisham HousePunished for her rebellious nature, seventeen-year-old Catherine Howard is sent to Grisham House, a place her feminist mother insists will show her how lucky she is. But Grisham House holds a dark secret as well as a handsome young owner that Catherine can’t resist.

Forced to become a servant and learn the ways of those less fortunate, Catherine soon discovers that all is not as it seems. Girls disappear and screams pierce the silent darkness. A figure in white runs through the gardens at night.

Catherine is desperate to discover the truth but the tyrannical housekeeper, Ms Peckham watches.

Can Catherine find out what’s really happening at Grisham House before the next victim is claimed?

2021 Plans

I am thinking about 2021 and what I hope to achieve, and I’d like to do something similar to this, maybe a weekly serial with reader input, starting in January. I’ll also be working on finishing the first draft of a new novel, Stay With Me, and continuing to learn and improve my writing. I’ll keep you all updated on this as I progress. Right now, I’m still in the early stages, just under 10k, but I’m enjoying the story and the characters.

I’m keeping this post nice and short because I just wanted to let you all know about my December plans. I do hope you’ll pop in each morning and follow along with the stories.

Until next time,

Keep reading and writing,

Amanda
