My Writing Goals For 2019

You may or may not be someone who enjoys setting writing goals, but I love them. I especially love reading back over them at the end of the year to see how I’ve done. My writing goals for 2019 are similar to those I set in 2018 but I hope to achieve some if not all of them.Writing Goals

On Finishing The First Draft

Last week, I typed those long-awaited words – The End – on my current novel, Winterland. I’ve now put it away for a couple of weeks while I remove myself from its world and get ready for edits. To add a bit of colour to this post and break things up a little, here’s a pretend cover I created.

#BookReview The Twisted Tree by Rachel Burge @RachelABurge

I bought this book after seeing the cover on my Facebook feed. I’m a big book cover fanatic and I just love abstract covers. This one is so beautiful and I’m so delighted to be able to say that the story matched it perfectly. This spooky, grim, story is dark and twisted with just the right amount of angst for a YA novel. Below is the cover and blurb followed by my review. The Twisted Tree by Rachel Burge

A Bowl of Irish Stew – Promoting Mental Health @BowlOIrishStew @CookingStew #mentalhealth #ABOIS4Pieta #PutMentalHealthFirst

A Bowl of Irish Stew is a new anthology of stories written to bring hope and comfort to those grieving or suffering from mental health. This new initiative is the brainchild of Gary Rutherford and one I am honoured to be a part of. The book’s subtitle is “Stories Combined in a Meal for the Mind” and it’s perfect.

#bookreview Fragments of Ash: (Inspired by Cinderella) by Katy Regnery @KatyRegnery

Today on my blog I’m delighted to be able to bring you my review of Fragments of Ash by Katy Regnery. This a modern fairytale romance based on the classic Cinderella story. I’m a big fan of these books and I love all fairytale retellings. I had this book on pre-order for quite some time so when it landed on my Kindle I devoured it over two nights and paid for it the next day as well. Below you will find the book cover and description, followed by my review.
